Belinda Galbraith is a skilled communications specialist with over a decade of experience working in the fields of broadcast media, government, tourism, politics, and higher education.

With a communications degree from Charles Sturt University under her belt, Belinda began her career in 2003 as Assistant Media Manager at Thredbo Ski Resort in the snowy mountains of New South Wales. It was here that she performed a range of communications activities including:

  • live television and radio reporting;
  • public relations and media liaison;
  • copy writing.

After a short stint overseas, Belinda began working for WIN News as a television journalist. Marriage and a move to Newcastle saw Belinda take up another journalist role with NBN News.

In 2006 Belinda began work with the NSW Liberal Party as Media Advisor to 7 candidates standing for election across the Hunter and Central Coast.

Securing a role with Newcastle institution, NIB Health Funds, as a Communications Consultant, Belinda improved the way the organisation communicated with its members and health providers.

As Corporate Communications and Marketing Officer at Lake Macquarie City Council, Belinda was responsible for both internal and external communications, and had many responsibilities including:

  • coordination of the City website including management of a team of web content publishers;
  • editor of the weekly staff newsletter distributed to 1200 staff;
  • coordination of the annual Australia Day Awards and presentation event;
  • coordination of Council’s marketing activities;
  • community engagement;
  • the set up of the Council’s first social media presence.

Seeking a tree change, Belinda and her husband and three children moved to the NSW Southern Highlands in 2012. Knowing she wanted to continue helping businesses communicate, Belinda Galbraith Communications was born. Belinda now works with clients from all over NSW and Australia helping them connect with their staff, clients, and customers.
